Neal Bratschun

Neal Bratschun serves as the Country Director for Save Ukraine Now (SUN) and its primary interface with the U.S. government and international relief agencies. Neal’s five and one half years in Afghanistan give him invaluable experience as he coordinates the efforts of our strategic partners to bring relief to hungry and desperate people.


Mr. Bratschun brings a combination of leadership, management development, financial experience and IT consulting to Save Ukraine Now. During his time in Afghanistan he ran the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) where he managed a 100-person staff. The convergence of experience in business, information technology and management has enabled Mr. Bratschun to develop systems for assessing the situation on the ground, determining the most strategic response and evaluating effectiveness.


A winner of the Outstanding MBA award from Oral Roberts University, Mr. Bratschun has held an impressive variety of information technology positions during his career including application development consultant, access application developer, database administrator and much more.


His skill at handling large organizations has been fostered by his position of Management Instructor at Oral Roberts University where he taught courses in Principles of Management and Strategic Management, the latter required for all graduating business majors. As the CEO of Strategic Impact Consulting, he developed and submitted international project proposals for developing countries similar to Ukraine.


Prior to his appointment as Program Director for the United Nations Development Program in Afghanistan, he held a series of positions in that country including Advisor to the Minister of Irrigation, Water Resources and Environment; Information Management Specialist for the Asian Development Bank; and MIS Advisor for the National Emergency Employment Program and International Labor Organization.


Through a long and varied career, Mr. Bratschun offers more than 30 years of experience in the fields of organizational development, information technology, finance and related disciplines.
