General Wesley K. Clark

General (ret.) Wesley K. Clark, Chairman and CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic consulting firm, is Chairman of the Board for Save Ukraine Now.

 

A four-star general, General Clark spent 38 years in the United States Army after graduating first in his class at West Point. He commanded an infantry company in Vietnam, where he was severely wounded, and also held a number of significant staff positions such as Director Strategic Plans and Policy (J-5). In his last assignment as Supreme Allied Commander Europe, he led NATO forces to victory in Operation Allied Force, saving 1.5 million Albanians from ethnic cleansing.

 

After completing his career, General Clark had earned a series of awards including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Defense Distinguished Service Medal (five awards), Purple Heart, Commander of the Legion of Honor (France) and honorary knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments.

 

A Senior Fellow at UCLA's Burkle Center for International Relations, General Clark has authored four books including his most recent, “Don’t Wait for the Next War.” He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics while a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, where he earned B.A. and M.A. degrees.

 

General Clark’s expertise, intelligence and reputation for getting things done both enhances Save Ukraine Now as an organization and provides invaluable direction as we move to alleviate the suffering in eastern Ukraine.
